A 29-year-old Atmore man, sought by county sheriff’s officers as the subject of an arrest warrant, was also charged with felony drug possession after his vehicle was pulled over Sunday (Sept. 14) by city police.
Police reports show the traffic stop took place around 3:20 p.m. on Woods Road after an officer recognized Clyde Linam-Green as a wanted man. The charges against him were not specified.
Linam-Green was detained by police and reportedly granted consent to search the vehicle. The search turned up more than two dozen grams of synthetic cannabis (Spice) and more than two dozen grams of marijuana.
Also discovered were “numerous items used to package and ingest narcotics” and a handgun.
Linam-Green remained in the Escambia County Detention Center this morning (Monday, Sept. 15) charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm.
