Perdido man again turned down by Parole Board

A Perdido man, convicted in 2007 of assaulting a woman and shooting an arrow at her, was again rejected for parole during recent hearings by the Alabama Board of Pardons & Paroles.

Randy Hadley, who was initially charged with attempted murder but was eventually sentenced to serve 20 years for first-degree assault, has been behind bars for more than 14 years and will apparently serve his entire 20-year sentence.

Arrest reports show that Hadley slammed his girlfriend’s face into the side of a truck when she tried to leave during a domestic incident, then shot at least one arrow at her when she returned to the site of the argument.

The Perdido man has served 14 years, 1 month and 1 day, including 2,047 days in the county jail while awaiting trial and transfer to state custody.

Alabama Department of Corrections records show that Hadley was also convicted in 1998 in Baldwin County of second-degree assault after being initially charged with trying to murder a female neighbor.

He was sentenced then to 13 years but served only 4 years, 8 months and 23 days after accumulating net “good time” of 10 years and 4 months.

His minimum release date is June 23, 2031.
