A Bratt, Fla. man lost his life in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, near Uriah.
Alabama State Troopers reported that 61-year-old Marion Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened just after 2 p.m. near Highway 21’s junction with Huxford Road.
Troopers reported that Cooper’s Crown Victoria apparently went through a stop sign on Huxford Road and into the path of a an 18-wheeler traveling on Highway 21. The Crown Vic became lodged under the truck’s trailer.
A friend of Cooper’s family said Cooper “might have suffered a heart attack or other medical emergency” that led to the crash.
The driver of the truck, who was not identified, was not injured.
No further details were provided as troopers continued their investigation into the deadly crash.
