A Bay Minette man was arrested August 7 after he allegedly shot two people during the latest episode in a long-running domestic situation.
Police were sent around 5 p.m. to the 300 block of Everette Street after dispatchers relayed several reports of gunfire, with at least person struck by bullets.
Officers arrived and found two victims, one of whom was taken to an area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries. The second victim was only grazed and was treated at the scene.
The suspect, later identified as Jamyron Anderson, 22, fled the scene. A description of the vehicle was provided to Bay Minette police, and an officer there stopped Anderson’s vehicle and detained him until APD personnel were able to transport Anderson back to Atmore for questioning.
Police said the incident stemmed from a long running domestic issue between two other parties.
Anderson was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.
