An Atmore woman was arrested September 1 after an investigation by city detectives determined she had broken into a car parked at a Harris Street location, stolen several items from the vehicle, then posted them for sale on a social media platform.
The vehicle break-in took place August 5.
Police arrested 37-year-old Treniece Wimes and charged her with one count each of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, theft of property and harassment.
The local woman was still on the Escambia County Detention Center’s inmate roster today (Wed., Sept. 3).
