Frances L. “Cindy” Weldon, age 66, of Orange Beach, AL, passed away on September 3, 2025.

Cindy was born on December 20, 1958, in Atmore, AL, to William A. and Hazel Kirby Gorum. Cindy was a Court Reporter for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cindy is survived by her son, Brent (Lanee) Weldon, Jr. of Heath, TX; her brothers, Andy (Wanda) Gorum of Jackson’s Gap, AL, Gilbert Gorum of Huxford, AL, David (Tammy) Gorum of Huxford, AL, and Danny Gorum of Huxford, AL; her sister, Judy (Billy) Hines of Dadeville, AL, and her grandchildren: William, Wyatt, and Wesley Weldon along with a host of family and friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery in Huxford, AL. Interment followed in Huxford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Joshua Gorum, Aaron Gorum, Daniel Gorum, Ryan Gorum, Logan Gorum, Brett Gorum, and Will Hines.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
