Bessie Crawford Brantley, age 91, of Atmore, AL, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Mobile, AL.

Bessie was born on January 11, 1934, to Clarence Lee and Katie Johnson Crawford in Repton, AL. She was a member of Presley Street Baptist Church. After many years of service, she retired from Vanity Fair Corporation as a seamstress.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Frank “Bud” Brantley, Jr., and her siblings.

Bessie is survived by her son, William Frank (Kelly) Brantley, III, of Atmore, AL; her daughter, Jana Lynn Brantley (William Tremmel) of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Lauren Lyles and Kristen Lyles; her special niece, Mary Dow, and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
