An Atmore man was arrested August 30 on several charges, including felony drug possession, when city police responded to an Ashley Street address in response to a domestic incident.

Responding officers observed injuries that corroborated the victim’s statement, and 48-year-old Terrance Winborn was arrested on charges of domestic violence-strangulation or suffocation.

When the suspect was searched, he was in possession of a small

amount of crack cocaine and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Winborn remained in the Escambia County Detention Center today (Wed., Sept. 3).
