A Cantonment, Fla. woman who apparently passed out after pulling her car into the yard of a Highland Avenue home, was busted August 8 on felony drug possession charges after police found numerous illegal substances, including clonazepam pills and psychedelic mushrooms in side the vehicle.
According to police reports, and officer was sent to the 400 block of Highland Avenue in response to a report of a female driver passed out in the driveway of a residence.
As the officer talked with the female driver and sole occupant, later identified as Ryan Godwin, 37 of Cantonment, he noted “a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.”
A probable-cause search of the vehicle led to discovery of “several dozen Clonazepam pills that were not prescribed to Godwin, several grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, a small amount of marijuana, and items that are used to ingest narcotics.”
Godwin was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center (ECEDC) on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Florida woman was still listed on the ECDC inmate roster Tuesday afternoon, August 12.
