Mobile men arrested for warrants, Spice, meth

A pair of Mobile men were arrested Sept. 22 on felony drug charges after police responded to a report from a South Main Street business that an intoxicated individual was inside the establishment.

Officers were sent to the unnamed business around 10:30 a.m. and began searching for the individual inside but soon learned he had left the store in a vehicle and gone to a next-door business.

Officers discovered the men — Cedtreon Williams, 24, and Charles Ball, 34 — inside a vehicle and were informed through an ID check that each was the subject of at least one arrest warrant from another agency.

They were detained and gave consent to search the vehicle. That search yielded “several grams of synthetic cannabis (Spice),

a small amount of methamphetamine, and items used to ingest narcotics.”

Ball was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, while Williams was charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men remained in the county jail this morning (Thursday, Sept. 25).
